Pretty Pretty Princess Sleeping Beauty User Review

I admit I was appalled when my 3-year-old daughter received this game (the title makes me ill – I try to avoid things “pretty” and “princess-y” for my daughter), but she LOVES it so much, I had to relent. I’m not sure why it’s recommended for age 5 and up – any 3-year-old can follow this game with ease. Perhaps the reason is that part of the game involves “putting jewelry back,” or “giving up the crown” to another player, and some younger kids may have a hard time with that.

My only problems are that the game board (which is a 4-piece puzzle, a small “educational” feature of the game) tends to come apart when brushed against with little feet; and that the numbers on the spinner are hard to read, as they are merely raised plastic, and the same color as the background. That was easily fixed by outlining the numbers with a red sharpie. My daughter enjoyed decorating the box with jewels, and adores wearing all the jewelry. She often just takes out the game to play dress-up. A favorite. (Even my 6 year old son enjoys playing it with his sister – it gives him a rare excuse to put on jewelry! He thinks it’s a hoot.)

Ultra Tangoes – Black User Review

a very durable and compact set of tangoes. you can slide it into your handbag/purse and pull it out whenever there’s a dull moment. EVERYone is always a bit intrigued with tangoes’ simple nature yet challenging puzzles. it’s a fun and silly game, since the objective is to race your opponent into making a simple figure/design with just 6 plastic shapes. this sounds easy but it’s also occasionally nearly impossible to achieve. playing tangoes is just as fun at a bar with twenty or thirty-somethings as it is with 8-year olds at the kitchen table. ps – the “travel tangoes” version is just for one person, while this set is made for two to compete simultaneously, which is more fun.

ThinkFun Rush Hour 2 User Review

First, this is an addition to the Rush Hour game so it will do you no good if you do not already have Rush Hour. If you don’t have it, however, I would strongly encourage you to get it.

My daughter has ADHD as well as learning disabilities. Her occupational therapist recommended this game and used it in her sessions. Even at 9 years old, she was somehow able to go through all the levels of the game (something which most adults can’t do). It is great to have this “booster” pack to add more challenges. This booster pack has cards at all levels so don’t think that you have to have mastered the challenge level to start this. In fact, it is probably an even better pack for those who haven’t mastered the challenge level because it expands the number of “games” you can play at each level. So if you have a beginner who is tired of doing the same thing, this will help.

I would have NEVER thought my ADHD child would love this game. I knew I did but she isn’t someone who sits down and concentrates on anything. I don’t know what makes this game special but it certainly accesses a part of her brain that other things don’t.

Do You Sudoku? For Kids Game User Review

I purchased this game for my 5 year old. It is a great way to teach logic to little ones. At 5, he needs a bit of help at times, but the whole family enjoys playing the game (5 yrs, 9 yrs, 11 yrs, and up).
