Imagination Flap Doodle Board Game User Review

We purchased this game for our first grade daughter as a Christmas. It is now the middle of January, and with one or two exceptions, we have played this every night. In order to win each person must read the card and follow the directions exactly. Instructions range from naming 8 different ice cream flavors to “walk around on all fours meowing like a cat and rub against the furniture”. My daughters favorite was taking her shoes and socks off and making her toes- named Earl and Gus according to the game- talk about potato chips until the timer ran out. Be careful you don’t get a Mr. Sourpuss card. You may have to smell the INSIDE of your shoe (move back 4 spaces if you only smell the outside) or have to smell the person to your left’s armpit and declare “MMM, smells like cookies”. FUN and laughter for the whole family of all ages! The only complaint is you run out of cards after several games, and you have to repeat the actions. We have ordered more, and really, that only bothers adults. Young children will do the same cards over and over and still enjoy it!

An Electronic Easel
The Crayola Color Explosion Glow Board offers a unique way for kids to display their art, as it lights up drawings much like a neon sign. It incorporates several violet lights under the drawing surface. When lit, these lights cause the ink to take on a vivid, striking glow. The board’s surface is reusable — ink erases in an instant — making it good for hours of fun at a time. Children can easily display their artwork by using the easel back to prop the board in place. And the board’s two separate drawing layers give kids even more room to doodle. Using the glow board’s controls, kids can choose to display one layer, or flash between both for an exciting billboard-like effect.

The glow board’s markers come in six dazzling neon colors — red, blue, yellow, green, orange, and pink. With these colors at their command, kids will be able to create a multitude of different drawings. Perhaps they will envision a galaxy with stars and planets, or render an undersea adventure. The markers have medium tips, which can draw thickly but also offer the ability to draw finer images. A tracing sheet comes with the board to help kids get ideas for their artwork. Crayola Color Explosion Glow Board User Review

We got this for my daughter’s 6 year old birthday. It was easy to use, easy to clean and hasn’t given us one bit of trouble. I read all the reviews of people who say they scratched it during cleaning, which surprised me. A damp/wet rag, just lightly moved across the surface, worked very well. We had no trouble cleaning it.

The markers ARE small, and I can see where they will run out in a short time. Crayola doesn’t sell the markers separately, you have to special order them. I found a place online that sells ADULT wet-erase black light markers that I am ordering to supplement her set.

VERY cool toy. We’re glad we bought it.

This game is fun. My 7 year old son and 5-year-old daughter love it. So, do the adults in the family. One of the things we do at the end of the game is make up stories with the six different cards we’ve won. We let everyone continue until they have six cards so that they can tell a story of their own. You know one where the moose and doodle don visit a turtle at the arch in St. Louis. Or something like that. This is a classic game. and such a great price! I think it also can be applied towards teaching about drawing and lines and so forth.
